Panagiotis S. Ioannidis

Panagiotis Ioannidis was born in Nea Smirni, a suburb of Athens, in 1981. He studied International Relations and European Affairs at Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences. He graduated from the University of Kent with merit on International Conflict Analysis (MA), and a special interest in negotiations. Furthermore, he was a awarded an MSc diploma, with distinction, in International Medicine and Health Crisis Management by the Medical School of the University of Athens. Besides his interest in politics and management, he became involved with the medical world by studying to become an Emergency Medical Technician at the National Center for Emergency Care (merit based scholarship) and then had a second Bachelor's degree in the Nursing School of the University of Athens. He is currently working on his PhD thesis, concerning the operations management of humanitarian organizations. Professionally, Panagiotis is working for the Medical School of the University of Athens as a teaching and research assistant, as well as an administrative and research assistant at the General Hospital of Athens "Evangelismos" at a NSRF Programme providing support to HIV+ patients belonging to vulnerable populations. At the same time, he is a member of the Hellenic and the British Red Cross, an external associate of the Médecins Sans Frontières and a volunteer with the Médecins du Monde with participation in humanitarian missions.
